The activation key was not found on the license server

If you attempt to activation your license key and receive a message that says, "The activation key was not found on the license server", rest assured - there's nothing wrong with your software activation key.

Almost 100% of the time, the problem comes from attempts to type the key in "by hand" - rather than the copy/paste method - and there are data entry errors in the process.

So if you see this message...

...here's what you should do:

If needed, please obtain your key from https://keyretrieval.hamradiodeluxe.com and then...

Please try to activate the key using the following process:

If you haven't already done so, download the current version of Ham Radio Deluxe from www.HamRadioDeluxe.com
Run setup.exe to begin the installation
Read the privacy statement and click the checkbox below it
Enter your callsign
Enter the activation key (best to copy/paste it from the retrieval email to avoid confusion between letters & numbers)
Click on "Activate Key" and...
Wait... until "Software License Type" is populated by the response from the activation system
Then click on the "OK" button.
