Some of you reported having issues with a lost connection between HRD Alert and WSJT-X when using Multicasting.
This can be prevented by going into Windows Device Manager.
Select Network adapters > your Ethernet Adapter.
Go into it's properties and select the Energy / Power Management Tab
Disable allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
Also we found that McAfee and Norton are blocking Multicast traffic.
Contact theire Support on how to correct that.
For Norton:
Open Norton 360
Settings
Firewall
Traffic Rules
Add
Action = Allow
Connections = To and From
Computers = Any computer local subnet
Communications
Protocol = TCP and UDP
Rule only applies if matches the ports listed = 2237, 2333
Advanced = Apply rule for NAT transversal traffic - On
