Frequently Asked Question

Using SSID with DX cluster connections
Last Updated 4 years ago

When connecting to a given DX cluster more than one simultaneous connection, the most recent connection will disconnect the previous connection.  There can be only one connection at a time with a given callsign.

However, multiple simultaneous connections can be made using an SSID.

Go to DX Cluster Options... select the Connections tab... you'll see "SSID" next to your call. This is just a number that gets appended to your call so the cluster network will see each connection as unique.

Please select a different SSID for each connection that you're making to the cluster. This will avoid the disconnects I'm seeing for your call... and will stop the DX Cluster pane from refreshing spots unnecessarily.
